Tournament travel is part of the experience. Use this guide to help your family prepare for practices, competitions, overnight stays, and travel with HV Ballers Elite.

What the HV Ballers Elite season looks like, and how often your family can expect to travel.

Tournaments

10 Tournaments per season

Our teams compete in 10 tournaments throughout the season, giving players maximum exposure and competitive experience.

Training Camp

An intensive Training Camp is held in February to prepare players for the upcoming season. Camp focuses on skill development, team chemistry, and conditioning.

Team Practice

  • Practices held 2–4 times per week
  • Season runs March through July
  • Schedule adjusted around tournament weekends
  • Players expected to attend all scheduled practices

Roster Size

10 Maximum players per team

Each team carries a maximum of 10 players, ensuring focused coaching, quality development, and meaningful playing time for every athlete.

When we travel, every family represents HV Ballers Elite. These expectations come straight from our organization bylaws.

Respect

Support all players and coaches respectfully, and avoid inappropriate behavior toward officials or staff.

Sportsmanship

Encourage good sportsmanship and positive attitudes from the stands, in every win and every loss.

Punctuality

Ensure athletes arrive on time and ready for every scheduled session and game.

Responsibility

Follow organizational policies and keep team and financial commitments current.

Support the Team

Cheer for every athlete on the floor — travel weekends are when team chemistry is built.

Academic Success

Encourage academic success and positive attitudes, on the road and at home.

How Updates Reach Your Family

Tournament and practice schedules are shared through team communication platforms, group messages, email, or the organization’s website. Please monitor those channels for schedule updates, game-time or location changes, travel information, and coach instructions.

Required Participation Documents

All participants must complete medical release forms, liability waivers, and emergency contact information before participating. Keep copies of your athlete’s information accessible while traveling.

We recommend basketball shoes, required uniforms, practice gear, socks, a water bottle, plus personal items and travel essentials. See the What to Pack section above. Your coaches will confirm any team-specific requirements.
A specific arrival window isn’t set organization-wide — your coaches will provide the arrival time for each event. As general guidance, allow enough time to park, enter the facility, and let your athlete prepare.
